Well Aloha, Yoda

A recent trip to Zumiez at the Woodfield Mall in Illinois, led to the discovery of a Vans x Star Wars collaboration. Now this licensing promotion isn't any more inspired than most Marval collaborations, but it does deserve a second glance.

Where precisely in the Star Wars trilogy, was there bursts of hibiscus flowers?
Look again. Apparently the hibiscus bush is Yoda's favorite hiding place. This pairing of current trends (Hawaiian print) with a completely unrelated marketing/licensing collab (Star Wars), is so random it may just be brilliant.
At least it's original. Or should I say.... Off the Wall?
Touché, Vans, touché.

Just Another Snow Day

Sick of the snow yet? If you're like me, you've officially given up and succumbed to full on hibernation. So instead of going outside, where our faces freeze off, let's bring a little bit of the outdoors, snow day fun inside.

Check out these fun and creative paper snowflake templates I found on Pinterest. Time to get sassy with your scissors.

This is a great craft for a snowy afternoon by the fire watching movie. Or if you just need the kids to sush-up for a few minutes.
