Another visually and scientifically impressive display, this time from the Harvard Natural Sciences Lecture Demonstrations. Watch as 15 simple pendulums of increasing lengths swing together producing visual waves.
One complete cycle of the dance is 60 seconds. The longest strand travels 51 oscillations in this 60 seconds. Each successively shorter length executes on additional oscillation (the shortest traveling 65 therefore.) Click here for more details.
