I spent the morning under the brilliant blue sky scavenging the streets of downtown Grand Rapids. It was the UICA QR Code Scavenger Hunt. Using your smart phone, you scan the QR code at one of 12 participating venues and you're given a clue to find another venue. It's a great idea, and a neat way to explore downtown. The problem was, it didn't work. Half the venues had removed their QR signs so we couldn't get the next clue. But it was a nice walk.

Whilst I was downtown, I noticed additional QR code signs for something I had never heard of:
The GR Tag Tour. This takes you on an hour long tour sharing historical information at 13 downtown sights. It begins at the start of Monroe Center at McKay Tower.

Looking for an excuse to take a walk? Don't forget your phone.
